Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Ron Richards was directing visitors on the afternoon of Aug. 31, 2015, for a funeral procession alongside Hwy 60 in Jackson County when a semi-truck driver slammed right into a stopped truck and caught hearth.
Sgt. Richards radioed for help and went to the semi driver, who was screaming for assist.
Paul Langseth of Worthington heard the crash and ran to supply help. He and Sgt. Richards compelled open the door of the semi, and the 2 labored collectively to free the motive force from the burning truck and transfer him to a protected location.
Sgt. Richards mentioned he wouldn’t have been capable of do it with out Paul’s assist.
